It's a fact: we're currently in lockdown and sometimes, it sucks. However, in my opinion, this situation is not as bad as I thought it was going to be, it's the reason why I wanted to write this article to tell you all the good things I noticed since the beginning of this quarantine. I have to admit that, sometimes, it's a bit overwhelming and we can go a little cray-cray but it's quite normal after all, humans are made for social interactions after all and when we can't have them, life is a bit hard, it's tense, am I right? I hope this article will bring you some positivity and let's hope this will be over soon! Here are the 5 good things!
MORE PRODUCTIVITY
That's not even a joke! I'm working from home, I'm studying, I'm taking care of my blog, I'm writing a lot. I haven't feel that motivated in a very long time. Nonetheless, I haven't found any motivation when it comes to watch my food or doing sport. Don't judge me, we are all putting on weight during this, it's totally normal as we are stuck and the best way to get rid of a temptation is yield to it. These aren't my word, I'm not responsible for anything you choose to do.
SURROUNDED BY MY FAMILY
I came back in Belgium before the beginning of the lockdown. I was back on March 12th and the lockdown started 5 or 6 days after. Since then, I'm at my family's, enjoying the time I can spend with them, even if I'm not used to live with them anymore, sometimes it's quite hard to be back at home and not living by my own rules. I don't have to complain tho, at least, I'm with them and not alone in England, freaking out regarding this whole crazy situation.
SAVING MONEY (AND BEING RICHER)!
As I just have to pay the rent of my room in London, well, I can save the rest of my salary. I don't do any shopping online either. This allows me to save quite a nice amount of money each month, I'm really prod of this, even if I still don't know (since the related article) what I'm saving money from. Still, that's a good thing. Maybe I'll treat myself with another expensive bag.
BYE BYE ANXIETY
I honestly have no clue why but my anxiety haven't showed up since the beginning of the quarantine. I'm feeling really good, I'm not really stressed (even if I had health issue but that's due to something else -- not it's not the covid-19). This helps me feeling a lot better, I can focus on other things, I'm more positive and clearly, things are clearer in my mind. Can I say that I'm not drowning anymore?
TAKING TIME FOR MYSELF
Something I haven't done in a very long time: practicing self care. A little TLC for my own self! I also think a lot about my future because my current situation doesn't satisfy me at all, even when it comes to my relationships, I think this needs a bit of sorting. I tend to be attracted to the wrong type of people, I noticed that not a long ago. I always chose the wrong person, the toxic one and god, I hate that! An article about toxic relationships will probably be up anytime soon tho.
I guess I'm done with the five good things. It was quite easy, I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of this period (of course not) but it's less to handle than what I thought. So, tell me, how is this quarantine is treating you? Do you have any positive things you can associate to this whole "stay at home" situation? How do you feel physically, mentally? I hope you are okay, you are safe and you're staying at home. For once, we can save life by staying cosy in our houses, I think it should be enough as a reason!
