Buenos dia mi amigas. ¿Que tal? That's probably where my knowledge of Spanish stops and I'm pretty sure I managed to butcher it. Whatever, months ago, I traveled to Barcelona with my sister. We never really traveled just the two of us, I mean a proper city break. So we chose the very sunny and beautiful Barcelona and you know what? I really loved it. I had some doubts about traveling to Spain but it was probably one of my favorite European city break and I cannot wait to go back to Spain anytime soon, I'm currently thinking about booking a 3 days trip to Madrid. We shall see if I can made up my mind.
We flew with Ryanair and we stayed in an hostel, basically the thing I do every time I travel. My first thought when we landed was: omg, palm trees. I remember us leaving the airport, looking for a taxi and thinking how nice it would be to live in such a place with palm trees. Palm trees reminds me of holiday, even if I don't like hot weather, this was really nice. We took a taxi who droves us to our hostel. We were staying at the Youth Hostel Pere Tarress, which was a really nice, clean and affordable place. Really close to the subway station Plaça Del Centre, which has a direct link to the city center. By the way, transportation is really nice. I'm not going to write an entire article about it but due to the fact that we traveled there a long time ago, I don't remember everything we did.

As you can see, these are my most used pictures! One day, I'll find some others! |
Barcelona is a city full of culture and history. From the Sagrada Familia to Güell Park, you can see the amazing and colorful masterpieces of Gaudi. I really am an art person so this was definitely something for me. I even think about writing an article about the must see building. I'm not an architect and I don't know much about architecture but that's definitely something that must have be seen once in a lifetime. We also went to Tibidabo, if you are a huge Friends fan, a reference won't be needed.
And of course, a nice trip wouldn't be complete without a souvenir. So we got tattoos. I decided to go for a seashell (beach, sunshine, holiday, Spain, connect the dots - joke's on me). Every time I look at this one, I'm thinking about how great this trip was and how much I enjoyed going to Spain. I probably chose the wrong place on my body but it's fine, it's not really important. I don't share the pictures of my tattoos tho, because, you know it's quite personal and I don't want my ideas on someone else's body.
I think this concludes this Barcelona travel diary. As you probably noticed, this was an amazing trip, full of memories and good things. I really want to travel there once again because I didn't have the chance to see everything I wanted to see. Barcelona, bella ¡hasta pronto! Have you been to Spain? Did you like it? Do you have any recommendation about the must see places?
