On my travel list — NOTES OF WINTER

On my travel list

This year, I have a goal. Traveling to places I've never been. Even if my job can be a pain in the ass, sometimes, I have plenty of days off in a row (it's not happening often tho) which gives me time to organize my trips. Today, I will share with you the places I intend to visit this year. I'm probably dreaming too big but you know what they say? Aim for the stars, if you fail, you'll land on the moon. So, that's I'm doing today. Without any further ado, let's travel to the stars, shall we?

COPENHAGUE • DENMARK

Last year, I had invoked the possibility of a road trip between Belgium to Sweden. I wanted to stop in Denmark because that's a country that is intruiging to me. It looks amazing and to be honest, I know I said that already, colder countries are more my thing. As the following countries on my life, Denmark is quite expensive. That's the only negative thing so far.

SAINT PETERSBURG • RUSSIA

Visiting Russia always have been a dream to me. Since I'm a kid, I want to travel to Russia and this year, if I'm allowed to, I'll definitely save up some money and booked a trip. I remember being a kid and saying to my mom how much I wanted to go to Russia. I also remember her reaction, quite mortified because "it's too cold over there". Well, you know...

TROMSØ • NORWAY

Surprising choice, right? There are so many places I want to see in Norway. But more than anything else, I'm dying to see the northern lights (aurora borealis) one day. Plus, Tromsø looks damn beautiful. If this was up to me, I'd definitely enjoy a road trip in the country, to see more places.

LAPLAND • FINLAND

Lapland, what else? Snow, cold temperatures, living in a cottage, the country of Santa... you know! Finland looks amazing, of course but Lapland is the dream. The real dream. It is supposed to be my sister's birthday/christmas gift (I know she doesn't read my blog and if she does, well, now you know - so happy birthday less than a year in advance), so I started saving money because even if it looks amazing, well it's also really expensive. But probably 100% worth it!

STOCKHOLM • SWEDEN

Oh, another big surprise. A cold and expensive country. Really close to the others. Well, that's it. That's the explanation... Joking. Stockholm looks beautiful, colorful, absolutely insane. So, why not? I'm not really a surprising person, if you expect to read Australia or Madagascar in this list, sorry to disappoint you.

ICELAND

That one isn't a city. It's the whole country. I want to rent a car, to drive from one place to another. I want to see more nothern lights, geysers, the blue lagoon, waterfalls, fjords... The list is quite long. I just want to see everything the country has to offer. I want to drive on the road, to sleep in the car, to observe the beautiful sky full of stars.

In other words, that's a useless list of cold places. Nothing really awesome but if you are curious, that's your answer. I'm a weird person, I don't like hot places, I'm not a huge fan of summer and I won't be mad at you because you don't understand because that's life. I'm okay with cold winter (not short days tho). I'm weird, that's it. Also, yes, I'm aware, the clouds in the picture are pink. I think it looks absolument beautiful.
