Hello Dublin — NOTES OF WINTER

Hello Dublin

What's up guys? I feel like it's been a million year since the last time I wrote an article. No, you are not blind, it's the first article but this blog is sort of a renewal. Nevermind! Okay, let's jump to the main subject here: I went to Ireland. For the first time in my life. And I chose Dublin, of course. It was two month ago now and I finally share the pictures with you. Better late than never. I was lucky, the weather was really nice which is apparently surprising for Ireland. And four days, I'm still shattered, was it enough or not? I have seen millions of things, met nice people but I still have so much to do. Does that mean a round 2 in 2020? Hm, yeah, probably.

I'm going to jump straight to what matters here. What did I do after dropping my luggage at the hostel? Shopping, duh... I was quite surprised to see that Arnotts already had a full Christmas department store. I mean, Christmas is my favorite so of course, it felt like heaven. But Christmas in September? Really? You're pushing it too far Arnotts. I don't even know myself if I'm serious or if I'm joking. And after that, it's kinda obvious: Temple Bar. My friends and family knows: I'm a party animal. Pubs, nice atmosphere, that's also the place where I ended on the first night. I was surprised to see how friendly Irish people were. I shouldn't be surprised but I really was. Damn, that was so great, so full of life. Can I say that I had the time of my life in Ireland? Because I certainly did.

The fact of staying in an hostel means that you can meet people. And that happened. As a friendly  and outgoing person, it's no surprise here if I say that I ask to everyone if they wanted to go out. And when I say going out I mean a proper night out. Whateveeeeer. Still not the point. But I can't focus. I spent the day visiting around. Discovering Dublin's architecture, the famous Trinity College (if I sell a kidney maybe I'll be able to study there one day). Also, the prettiest shopping center I've seen in my entire existence. And God knows I traveled a lot the last couple of years. Just have a look by yourself. Stephens Green Shopping Center was to die for. Last but not least, I have to let you know that I'm so obsessed with house fronts so you'll probably see millions of 'em on this blog. I'm not even going to explain, that's it, I'm obsessed. Then I met everyone at the hostel, we went out, bla bla bla, you don't want to know about that crazy night.

Can we please talk about this architecture?

Alcohol was definitely still in my blood the next day. Too much drinks, I mean I'm not going to Ireland to go to sleep at 9pm. Not judging the ones that are doing it tho. I've heard to many good things about Howth that I really had to go. I took the train, my camera and I was gone. Seriously, this was wonderful. I was speechless. I was walking around and honestly, everything was breath-taking. Nature has done a good job there.

Another pictures of The Temple Bar later, I spent my last day walking around Dublin to see the cathedrals and other gems that the city has to offer. I didn't have a lot of time ahead but that was lovely. That's how I love to discover cities: walking around without really thinking about where I'm going and I can't really get lost, you can't be lost if you don't know where you're going.

Last days are always so sad and when I'm leaving a place, I'm always feeling so emotional (I didn't get much sleep either and yes, I'm trying to find an excuse here). Going to the airport was so hard, a bit challenging. You can picture the scene: my head against the window, watching the landscape with music in the background. But no rain, thanks God, no freaking rain!!!! I don't really know how to finish this article but Dublin was nice. I had so much fun. I still don't know if I LOVED the city or if I just liked it. It was a bit smaller than expected. Which means I was a bit disappointed. Unpopular opinion? I have no clue but let me know what you think? Also, I got a donut at Off Beat, a-ma-zing!

Have you been to Ireland yet? If so, did you like it? I think you already know what I'm thinking about it. Or maybe are you planning on visiting Dublin anytime soon? Tell me everything, I'm so curious.
